About Us

Burlington-Edison High School Naval Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps is the northernmost JROTC unit in western Washington state.  Captain Butch Bailey (USN, ret) and Chief Roger Hull (USN, ret) are the founders and primary instructors of the program at B-EHS.

The primary goal of the program is to produce the next generation of citizens and leaders in our community.  While the program is centered around United States Naval customs and courtesies, the reality is that only a small percentage of the cadets go on to future military service.  In fact, it is against the rules of the NJROTC program to do any type of recruiting.

As members of "Tiger Company", cadets have the opportunity to participate in a number of activities, most of which they may receive high school "letters" in.  Further, taking NJROTC classes can replace the high school graduation requirements in history, PE, and/or vocational training.

As parents and friends of the B-EHS NJROTC program, we in the booster club are proud of the quality of students that enter the program, and the young adults that graduate.  For further information, please contact This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
